This summer has been one of the busiest seasons thus far and I can’t believe how fast time is flying. @renashishido and I have been filming almost everyday as we continue to document multiple scientific excursions not only for the SOEST program at UH but also for the National Science Foundation. I’m extremely nervous about this since we only have less than two weeks left to gather as much content as possible before everyone flies back to their hometowns. But besides the pressure, stress and the workload, this journey has been so eye opening. The program and the students I’ve met have really pushed me out of my comfort zone and have inspired me to continue pushing further. I don’t really like hiking, swimming or going outdoors very much but after having to do so much of it while filming a lot of it, it has given me a greater sense of appreciation not only for outdoor adventures but also for the beauty of everything that surrounds us. We had the opportunity of visiting all of the different volcanic sites on the Big Island as well as experience what it would be like to live on a research vessel in the middle of the ocean. There’s definitely more to come as we start to wrap up production but I’m excited (scared and extremely nervous) with how the final documentary will turn out. I never thought I would end up delving into documentary filmmaking as I never really saw myself as qualified or fit for the nature of it but after seeing how impactful documentaries can be for an entire human race, I hope to continue telling and sharing more stories. I’ll be blogging more about this and the process as soon as I finish rebranding my websites (again). 😁
Currently traversing through Big Island’s volcanic sites with @renashishido documenting a set of gifted students from all around the country for the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology Research Experience Undergraduate Program. For a whole summer, we’ll be following these students as they explore and research the most distant parts of our islands. Let’s see where this rare experience takes us. ✨
Re-activating my Instagram status from perpetual limbo to active. Hi friends, I’m alive lol. I just realized I didn’t post anything from this shoot that happened 739272 years ago or any of the work I’ve done for that matter. So I decided that since it’s the first of June, I’m gonna try doing more of that (praying, hopefully, maybe)

It’s happening! 19 years of education is finally over! I’ll be receiving my BA in Creative Media. I’ll be at the TC Clarence Ching Field at 11:30am in section A! Hope to see you there!
I’m back!! I’m sorry I’ve been so inactive the last several months. I’ve been using the time to really focus on finishing my education and fully growing as a narrative and documentary filmmaker, as well as a person. It’s been so crazy and I can’t believe graduation is less than a month away! You can catch me at UHM Clarence T.C. Ching Field at about 11:30am on May 12 in section A. Come by and say hi, I’d love to see your faces! 💕 (After grad, I promise I’ll be more active on here lol)
